These people are top contributors to Yele Sowore’s campaign
At the moment, Sahara Reporters publisher, Yele Sowore appears to be the only presidential aspirant in Nigeria to have commenced a crowdfunding campaign ahead of the 2019 elections. Sowore set a fundraising target of about two million US dollars which he launched via crowdfunding site, Gofundme on the 13th of March.
Some of Sowore’s top donors include:
Deji Kolawole: $1,000. A unionist who was once former publicity secretary of PENGASSAN and a member of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Lagos Family. He is a contributor on the Sahara Reporters Platform.
Malcom Fabiyi: $500. Chief Operating Officer of Texas based firm Drylet, a wastewater remediation technology company. Fabiyi is a former president of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Student Union and also contributes to Sahara Reporters.
Ehi Fred Oyabure: $300. A Senior Project Engineer at DORIS INC, an oil & gas facilities engineering company based in Houston, Texas.
Ernest Ahamioje: $300. He is an academic who is known as a philanthropist in Nigeria, using sports to empower underprivileged kids. He served as Nigeria’s Youth Ambassador to the United Nations in 2009 and is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
